Both accounts help you grow your savings while earning dividends. A Regular Savings Account is ideal for everyday saving with a low opening deposit and easy access to your money. A Money Market Account is generally a better choice for members who maintain higher balances and want the opportunity to earn higher dividends. 

Yes. Regular Savings Accounts earn dividends based on Floridacentral’s current declared rates. Dividends are credited to your account, helping your savings grow over time. 

Yes. Deposits at Floridacentral Credit Union are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to the maximum amount allowed by law. 

You only need a $5 minimum opening deposit to get started. No checking account is required. 

A $5 monthly maintenance fee may apply, but it’s easy to waive by meeting qualifying account requirements, such as maintaining qualifying balances, receiving direct deposits, or having an eligible Floridacentral loan or credit card.

Yes. Your money remains accessible, with unlimited in-person withdrawals and up to six electronic withdrawals or transfers each month.

Yes. Many members open multiple savings accounts to organize their finances for different goals, such as emergency savings, vacations, holidays, or future purchases.

1 Early Paycheck is available for members who have set up direct deposit with their employer or other payers to receive electronic deposits of regular periodic payments (such as salary, pension, or government benefits). Early direct deposits may be available to you up to 2 days earlier, however, we are dependent on the timing of your payer’s payment instructions, and therefore you may not always see your direct deposits arrive early. Terms are subject to change without notice.

2 Monthly Account Fee: This account may be charged a $5.00 monthly fee. This fee will be waived under any of the following conditions: The first 60 days for new accounts, or the primary member is under the age of 24, or the cumulative monthly average balance across all checking, savings, and Christmas Club accounts is $500 or more (IRA or Share Certificate accounts are not included), or monthly direct deposits total $500.00 or more in savings and checking accounts, or have an active loan, mortgage, or credit card. The Line of Credit (LOC) and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) must have a balance. Credit cards must have a balance or a transaction in the last three (3) billing cycles.
