Membership Is Closer Than You Think

You may be eligible to join Floridacentral Credit Union if you live, work, worship, or attend school in one of the counties we serve, or qualify through an immediate family member.

Joining Is Easy

Once you’ve confirmed your eligibility, you can apply online or visit a Floridacentral branch to become a member.

Gather Your Identification Documents

You’ll need a valid Florida driver’s license or state identification card showing your current Florida physical address.

Don’t have a current Florida ID or opening an account for a minor or Supplemental Security Income beneficiary? Additional forms of identification may be accepted.

Complete Your Membership Application

Apply online or stop by your nearest Floridacentral branch to complete your membership application.

Make Your $5 Member Share Deposit

A $5 initial deposit opens your Member Share Account and establishes your membership in Floridacentral.

From there, you can add other accounts and services, including checking, savings, credit cards, loans, and more.

A $5 initial deposit into a Member Share Account establishes your Floridacentral Credit Union membership. Your $5 deposit represents your membership share in the credit union.

Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives owned by their members rather than outside shareholders. This structure allows credit unions like Floridacentral to focus on serving members through competitive rates, fewer or lower fees, personalized service, and valuable member benefits.

No. You can become a Floridacentral member without closing accounts you have at another financial institution. Once you join, you can choose the Floridacentral accounts, loans, and services that fit your financial needs.

Yes. Floridacentral offers options for opening accounts for minors. Identification and account requirements may differ from those for adult memberships, so review our acceptable forms of identification or contact us for help getting started.

Yes. Floridacentral Credit Union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Member deposits are federally insured up to applicable limits through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).

Once you become a Floridacentral member, you may be able to maintain your membership even if you move outside our current service area, provided you continue to meet applicable membership requirements.
